Let’s take a moment to recap the journey so far. I started with some tasty smashed avo on toast and swapped this for Item #2, a vintage magazine rack. I traded the rack for Item #3, a surfboard traction pad, which I then swapped for Item #4, the hotel gift voucher. I then swapped the voucher for Item #5 a Moana doll set, which led to Item #6 the 9 carat gold ring followed by Item #7 the alto saxophone.
Today, I visited the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast to meet a lovely lady named Wendy seeking a gift for her musical husband. Wendy, apologetic but cheery about the aftermath from a visit by their eight grandchildren, told me her that husband had spent the past 6 months mastering the art of yodeling, before deciding the sax was his next endeavor.
In exchange for the sax I was presented with this rare beauty … a 1.14 carat Tanzanite gemstone. For the unacquainted, Tanzanite is a gemstone rarer than Diamond found in only one place on earth, near the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. With Kate Middleton and Beyonce also recently spotted wearing Tanzanite, how could I say no!
The valuation of this violet blue stone isn’t too shabby either, coming in at over $2,00O Aussie dollars.
If you have a loved one or partner who would appreciate their a Tanzanite of their own, or are simply keen to invest in your future, hit me on the contact page to swap.
